In 1995 I received my first remedial massage. I will never forget how amazed I was by the difference I felt in my body and spirit after just one hour of treatment. I quickly enrolled in my first massage course so that I could help others feel so much better so rapidly.
Twenty something years later I am a self employed therapist still loving learning every year. My specialties now include pregnancy massage and lymphoedema management.
I work from my home based clinic in Abbey 5 days per week
Clients: Everybody over 16 years of age.

I am Monique from Monique’s Holistic Reflexology. I am a fully qualified professional Reflexologist and healthcare provider since 2014. I work from home but can also provide Mobile service. I am originally from Holland and emigrated in December 1990 to Australia. I work as a Registered Nurse (graduated in 1976 in Amsterdam) in Critical Care and first got acquainted with Reflexology in 2002 attending a 6 weeks introductory course here in Bunbury Western Australia.
Reflexology is a complimentary therapy which is a holistic non-invasive modality and can be practised on everyone, from Newborn to the elderly. Reflexology is the application of pressure and soothing techniques to the feet or hands and ear or face. It is a practice over 3000 years old and has once again become part of healthcare systems internationally. Reflexology stimulates the circulation to restore energy flow which helps clear blockages which may have occurred due to stress, toxins, illness, emotions and injury.
What I like about Reflexology is that it is a great way to learn how the body and mind are working together and that it can increase your feeling of well being and helps achieving better health no matter what your condition is. Reflexology is very relaxing and will rebalance and re energise you. You will notice a difference after the treatment. I use aromatherapy, music and crystals to enhance the effect of the treatment.
I have also given and look forward to facilitating more workshops and teach people about using hand and feet reflexology to improve your communication with children, teens and adolescents and even your partners. The importance of touch and creating a nurturing environment to build trust is a rewarding experience for both giving and receiving a treatment.

I am a nurse and complimentary therapist and have been practicing in the SW region for the past 26 years. I believe in a holistic approach, by combining orthodox and complementary medicine to provide total health care. I offer different styles of reflexology to cater for all needs:
Reflexology: Western, Cranio-Sacral, Chinese Reflexology (the more modern RWO SHUR method), I am a qualified Reflexology Lymph Drainage Therapist (RLD Sally Kay Method) and Maternity Reflexology, providing support during pregnancy.
Healing Touch: was developed within the nursing profession and is a non-invasive bio field therapy thats uses touch to influence the human energy system balancing the energy fields affecting physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health and healing.
Metamorphosis: means transmutation to finer substance. Metamorphosis aims to release the blockages and stresses created through the pre-natal time. It uses the spinal reflex on the feet, hands, and head, as a way to clear primary blockages in the unconscious which inhibit our functioning.
Ear Candling: helps to clear the cavities around the head area Our skull is full of tiny cavities that sometimes becomes congested. Another advantage of ear candling is that it can stimulate the peripheral lymph system, enabling the immune system to function better. It has been known to be beneficial in: Age-related deafness, candida, excessive wax, glue ear, flying discomfort, hay fever and other allergies, hearing problems, headaches, sinus problems, swimming and diving (water trapped in the ear), tinnitus and vertigo and is also very relaxing.
Clients: Clients range from children to the elderly including during pregnancy and those with musculoskeletal issues and health concerns.
Practitioners collaboration: Roeland Pol - Naturopath, Rebecca Baker - Bowen Therapy, Natalie Westwood - Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine.

In our Margaret River based Hyperbaric Center we offer Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapies (HBOT) in Hyperbaric Chamber that goes to 2.0ata pressure.
HBOT has beneficial effects in multiple areas:
1. Hyperbaric Oxygen (HBO) is a vasoconstrictor; it therefore reduces edema or swelling.
2. HBOT promotes neovascularization. When oxygen levels are increased fibroblasts divide, producing more collagen and new capillaries (neovascularization).
3. HBOT enhances the killing power and activity of white blood cells (leukocytes).
4. HBO kills anaerobic bacteria. HBOT is effective in fighting many infections and is bacteriostatic against anaerobes and stops exotoxin production.
5. HBOT more rapidly heals tissue that heals the slowest, which is the tissue with the least blood supply such as the "white tissue" in the body. Tendons, ligaments, meniscus in the joints, spinal discs, bones and even brain tissues are all capillary deficient and each exhibit more rapid repair when benefited by HBOT.
6. HBO regenerates damaged nervous system cells. HBOT neutralizes the toxic cellular by-products and can return damaged neurons to prior activity.
I’m also Remedial massage therapist specialising in Myofascial release and Myofascial Cupping.
